Young Adult

Recently I've been reading YA books and man are they awesome! Of course those those are the only kind of book I would read, for i too am a young adult. If your looking for some great young adult books, here are some great suggestions:
Historical: The healer's apprentice by Melanie Dickerson
This is the story of Rose. Rose is apprenticed to the Healer of the realm. When the Duke's sons come for a visit; both of them are drawn to her beauty. Rose knows her place in the realm and, as a Healer's Apprentice, does not want the attention of either brother. When one of the brothers, Wilhelm, is injured Rose heals him. Wilhelm and Rose are drawn to each other's personalities, but it cannot be. Wilhelm is betrothed to a Princess whose identity will not be revealed until the evil mage is defeated. Meanwhile Wilhelm's younger brother, a rogue of sorts, has started courting Rose. Wilhelm struggles to keep his feelings for Rose under wraps while trying to hunt down the evil mage that plagues the realm. I was told that this was a loosely based on Sleeping Beauty. I've read other books by Melanie Dickerson such The Merchant's Daughter and i found it truly beautiful, never have I read a book with such pure love.
Amish(or at least a little): Double Take by Melody Carlson
It is a princess and pauper kind of story.Madison Van Buren, is a seventeen year old living in the lap of luxury in New York. She comes from one of the wealthiest families in the country, and has what appears to be the perfect life, but that's really not so, she always feels as if she is being pulled every which way and never really has a say in her life. Anna Fisher is a seventeen year old Amish girl who is bored, and missing her boyfriend who left the community to go to New York, she has just been promised by her mother to go take care of an aunt. So when a chance meeting between the two has them realizing how much they look alike Maddie comes up with an idea for them to change lives for a week. Can the two pull it off, and what life lessons will they learn when they step into the shoes of someone else for the week? Truly a great story teaches a good lesson, the old " The grass isn't always greener on the other side".
Romance: Caleb + Kate by Cindy Martinusen Coloma
Kate is one of the popular girls in the school while Caleb is the new kid who works for Kate's dad at their hotel. Their story revolves around Kate potentially losing her popularity and falling for the kid from the other end of the class spectrum. It's sort of a Romeo and Juliet kind of theme. The story is told by both sides. Kate didn't really believe in the existence of love but can Caleb change her mind?

That's all I've got for now! Tune in to my blog for more=D
