This book is truly awesome! I've never really liked suspenseful books, but this book got me reconsidering. This is a book that definitely keeps you at the edge-of-your-seat!
The
main character, Kate Carter, is an ordinary teenager. Her life is
normal: dad, mom, big brother off in college, and a best friend. She
loves Crispix, and has sworn off boys after a very bad date that shall
never ever, ever be spoken of. She finds that her talents lie in her
art and her sarcastic wit. One day in art class, her teacher starts a
new topic, the different careers an artist can explore. The first
career is sketching faces from descriptions or criminal profiling a.k.a forensic sketching.
Kate's sketch helps the police catch a wanted murderer and changes her
life. First, it brings her a celebrity status. Then, it makes her a
target; the murderer is using his friends to target Kate for revenge.
It's really a thrill to read and i love the suspense now!That and I'm an artist myself=D. I think you'll really love how realistic this book. The main character is as real as can be and that's what I loved most about this book. Erynn Mangum is truly fascinating and i hope to read more from her.
