To be honest with you, one of the greatest books I've read, and been reading, is the bible. The bible isn't just a book filled with rules and old stories.
It is 66 books filled with wisdom, love, encouragement, and so much more. And the bible isn't only for christians to read it's for everyone. If it wasn't for everyone I wouldn't be saved. I know that there are a lot of people asking about who God is, what better way than to crack open your old little bible there on the shelf collecting dust, and read it. To be honest with you I'm not sure the bible will answer all your questions about God but it should give you a better understanding of Him. And if it doesn't answer all your questions ask a a pastor or a firm believer or ask God. Surely He will always have an answer for you.
If you don't own a bible, you could go to biblegateway.com and there will be many versions of the bible in many languages.. If your those type of people who love old English, go under the english section and chose the New King James version. If you want a version that is in the middle, it's original and easier to understand, chose the New International version. If you just want one that's just easy to understand choose New Livings Translation. And when reading the bible I recommend you start by reading John, it's the fourth book in the new testament. This book is at the top of my recommendation list for people of all ages.
